This life is about waking up each day with a choice to live through possibilities and impossiblities, needs and struggles, fears and dreams and to what we live for. More to that we have a choice to believe the reachability of joy through the realities of earthly pain. Today and tomorrow, should we all wake up through all of these over again, lo, we can take heart with the strength God gives through each day.


Eclectic and organic, indie singer-songwriter explores blend of inspirational folk, alt-rock and lush of poetry. Divino Rivera continues to emerge with sounds that could bring a glimpse of hope and home. Mostly acoustic guitar-driven, he aims to have elements of surprise crafted within the songs. The way he meshes sound and lyric themes is surprising and could pull heartstrings. There is just this beauty on how the pieces are put together – from light-hearted to rock, quirky to motivational, balanced production to raw and again surprises.

Divino Rivera continues to grow as an artist and arranger being honed at his weekly radio program about songwriting, performing at charity events and as a music director in his local church. Writing and recording for several years now, he already has come up with a wide catalog of his original songs. So then timely for him to release a full-length album with some songs he has nitpicked from his collection. Some he has written intently for the album's theme and goal -- to stir hearts towards awakening. The tangible and intimate feel of Original Filipino Music aka “OPM” will not be missing more so in the Tagalog songs. The songs he has put together this time are a journey and discovery into something more.

He grew up listening to The Beatles, The Bread, Eraserheads, James Taylor, Lifehouse, Jars of Clay, Chris Tomlin, Hlllsong, Jason Mraz, Matthew Perryman Jones and also Filipino artists like Rico Blanco and The Eraserheads.
